Author Evelyn Luscher, whose fiction was under the pen name Evelyn Swift, died on March 2, 2010, of congestive heart failure, after a long battle with that and other health challenges.
Evelyn was one of the most gracious and charming people you could ask to meet. She was a serious writer, although one who did not attain wide recognition. I published two of her novels (Wyla the Witch and The Lostcreek Legacy), and believed both to be well worth while.
I have known Evelyn for more than 40 years. She was the only fiction writer in a critique group to which we both belonged.I read "Lost Creek" and another of her books. Both very good. I agree. She was a wonderful person and an excellent writer.
